Fergusson Terminal Update
Thank you all for your support as we collectively navigated some weather challenges last week. Safety remains our number one priority and Thursday’s significant rain and Sunday’s fog were unavoidable disruptions to the week. This did see on time departure for those vessels that arrived on time drop to 56% with rolling last 3 weeks at 89% of vessels arriving on time departing on time.

Please find our Operating Hours for Easter here

eGate Driver mobility app

A new update (version 8.7.3) for the Cargowise Driver Mobility app is now available. This update includes the fix for the timeout error reported in our 18 March Road Alert, where some drivers experienced app timeouts preventing bookings from being created as trucks crossed the geofence.  For more information see here

Please ensure all drivers update their app to version 8.7.3 as soon as possible to avoid any further disruption to entry processing at Port of Auckland.

Multi-Cargo (MC) Operations

  • Container/Bulk berths and yard is at 80% capacity and expected to increase to 100% next week.
  • PCC Car volume in the yard is currently at 70% capacity and expected to increase to 90% next week.

Currently busy on Bledisloe wharf with lots of vehicles, farm & heavy equipment. The next few days we will see these cleared in time for a busier (short) week of back-to-back arrivals of PCC/RoRo vessels.

Bledisloe North wharf & the Car Handling Facility construction is now BAU and progressing well.   We have a couple of bulk vessels arriving next week across Jellicoe & Freyberg wharves. In between, we continue our maintenance dredging work across those berths.

As always, if you are on-port, please follow the instructions of the MC Ops & Stevedoring team and check with supervisors before entering operational areas.

⚠Safety Notice:

Truck pin visibility
As part of Port of Auckland’s continued focus on safety, we’ve been encouraging truck drivers to paint their truck pins to help improve visibility for our straddle drivers. Painted pins make a real difference in keeping operations safe and efficient.

Following the successful Truck Pin Painting initiative, we ran in December 2025 and again in February 2026, where our team engaged directly with drivers across the truck grid, we are encouraging all transport companies to ensure trucks arrive on site with their pins clearly painted.

A bright, visible coat on your twist-locks is particularly valuable during night operations, helping our operators land containers more accurately on your truck. It’s all about helping us help you: better visibility means fewer adjustments, reduced wear and tear on both your equipment and ours, and smoother, safer exchanges every time. Your effort in maintaining painted pins directly supports safe operations and protects your gear.
