We are committed to providing a safe environment for all port users.  ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ It's critical that all people working at the port understand and work in line with our health, safety and environmental guidelines. Everyone who enters our port to work must complete all applicable pre-work checks and mandatory inductions.

To facilitate this, all businesses accessing our port are required to apply for an Authority to Work access permit. If your business is new to the port or has not ​been at the port in over six months, please email [email protected]. 

Anyone requiring regular access to the port are required to complete the Accessing the Port of Auckland Safety & Wellbeing Induction before we can approve the issue of an access card or entry into Fergusson Container Terminal.

Please click here to compl​ete and submit your online application form.  You will receive further information regarding your application process via email. Once you are approved, you will receive your login details and a link to complete online learning.

Renew your induction: 

If you are renewing your induction, please click here, log in and click on the 'Renew Your Learning' button to complete the required modules. If you need assistance, please refer to the 'How to renew your online induction' document.

Update your details:

To change your learning profile details, such as the company name or email address, please contact [email protected]. To be re-issued a port access card under another company's name, complete the Port Access Application Form (PAAF) and email it to [email protected].

The Port Access Office is open Monday to Friday from 06.00 to 16.00 for:

  • Authority to Work enquiries
  • Access card collection (please bring photo ID)
  • One-off visitor sign-in
