🏗 Container Terminal Update
After some disruption over the last couple of weeks window performance is tracking well with no major disruptions currently being experienced. Our teams are continuing to collaborate closely with partners to ensure cargo moves as smoothly safely as possible.
Truck turn-times are performing very well with the last three months resulting in 89%+ of trucks being turned in under 30 minutes.

We are excited to announce that eGate is now live at Fergusson Main Gates for all carriers:

Drivers will see either green or red on their device:

  • GREEN: All information is correct, the driver is on time for their slot, or the terminal can accommodate the truck’s arrival.

Proceed to the gate.

  • RED: There is an issue. Drivers must park in the truck park, resolve any issues, or wait for their booked time slot.

We’re hosting online onboarding sessions and alternatively we can visit your office to onboard your teams. To arrange a session, contact Natasha Kirkham ([email protected]) or Jalen Lefaoseu ([email protected]).

Resources, including an video tutorial and dispatch/driver guides, are available here

We’re also running a weekly eGate rewards programme for dispatch teams and drivers. Find out more here.

Induction and Security Access Card requirements
All drivers accessing Port of Auckland (POAL) must now hold a valid POAL induction. Drivers without a valid induction can no longer access POAL facilities.

The deadline to collect POAL Security Access Cards has been extended to 31 October. Please ensure cards are collected as soon as possible.

🚚 Fergusson Terminal R & D
Due to low demand for VBS bookings, Fergusson Container Terminal R&D will have kiosk only operation from 1900 Saturday to 0700 Sunday.

Trucking companies will need to ensure that any trucks arriving during the kiosk only operation time have:

  • Containers expressed pinned for use of the pre-gate kiosks located in the Fergusson truck park.
  • If using e-Gate, the driver app is on and front facing for both geo fences when heading to the port.
  • Hazardous
    • Exports, email Hazardous Certificates to Driver Assist before 1800 hours Saturday evening and advise that these are for night delivery so we can have someone to take their drivers call off site.
    • Imports, supply their drivers with Hazardous Certificates.

🚚 Multi-Cargo (MC) Operations
Container/Breakbulk berths and yard are currently at 10% capacity and will increase to 30% with container operations towards the end of the week.

Car volumes in the yard are currently at 100%, decreasing throughout the week.

Last week was busy across all Multi-Cargo wharves and yards.  This week will be a bit quieter due to vessel spacing.  We expect transporters to continue picking up cargo from the yard over the next few days.

Construction on Bledisloe North Wharf area has started and there are some light pole bases being installed.

Please continue to take care around multi-cargo yard and follow safety protocols in place.

⚠Safety Notice:
Disengaging of truck pins:

  • Reminder that drivers must check that their twistlocks have been fully disengaged and chains have been released for any container being uplifted at POAL
  • Not doing so, can cause damage to both your trucks and our hoists. To eliminate this risk please remind your drivers to undo their twist locks in the Driver Safety Zones (DSZ)
