Safety Notice

Reminder to all transport operators and drivers

We have recently seen a number of incidents involving damage to trucks, gates, kiosks and other port infrastructure. To help ensure incidents are managed quickly and fairly, please remind drivers of the following:

✅ Stop immediately if an incident occurs

  • If your truck is involved in any damage event, whether to POAL infrastructure or your own vehicle, remain on site and notify POAL staff immediately.

✅ Do not leave the terminal before reporting the incident

  • Leaving the port before an incident has been reviewed can delay investigations and claims processing.

✅ Drive cautiously through gates and truck grid lanes

  • Wait for gates to fully open before proceeding and ensure your vehicle is correctly aligned before entering or exiting operational areas.

✅ Report all damage, regardless of severity

  • Prompt reporting helps protect drivers, transport companies and POAL by ensuring accurate information is captured while details are fresh.

Remember: Damage incidents can result in repair and recovery costs being charged to the responsible party. Taking a few moments to stop, report the incident and follow POAL's process helps minimise delays and supports a safer operation for everyone.

Thank you for your continued support and commitment to safe operations.
