šŸ— Container Terminal Update
A challenging week last week coupled with some adverse weather last night resulting in ongoing disruption to vessel schedules. Truck turn times continue to perform well with dwell time sitting at 1.7 days.

eGate is now live at Fergusson Main Gates
eGate is now fully live at Fergusson Main Gates and we are seeing good early uptake from carriers.  We encourage all customers and drivers to begin using eGate to help support smoother gate processing.

Drivers will see either green or red on their device:

  • GREEN: All information is correct, the driver is on time for their slot, or the terminal can accommodate the truck’s arrival.

Proceed to the gate.

  • RED: There is an issue. Drivers must park in the truck park, resolve any issues, or wait for their booked time slot.

We’re hosting online onboarding sessions and alternatively we can visit your office to onboard your teams. To arrange a session, contact Jalen Lefaoseu ([email protected]) or Natasha Kirkham [email protected])

Resources, including a video tutorial and dispatch/driver guides, are available here

Induction and Security Access Card requirements
All drivers accessing Port of Auckland (POAL) must now hold a valid POAL induction. Drivers without a valid induction can no longer access POAL facilities.

The deadline to collect POAL Security Access Cards has been extended to 31 October. Please ensure cards are collected as soon as possible.

🚚 Fergusson Terminal R & D
Due to low demand for VBS bookings, Fergusson Container Terminal R&D will have kiosk only operation from 1900 Saturday to 0700 Sunday.

Trucking companies will need to ensure that any trucks arriving during the kiosk only operation time have:

  • Containers expressed pinned for use of the pre-gate kiosks located in the Fergusson truck park.
  • If using e-Gate, the driver app is on and front facing for both geo fences when heading to the port.
  • Hazardous
    • Exports, email Hazardous Certificates to Driver Assist before 1800 hours Saturday evening and advise that these are for night delivery so we can have someone to take their drivers call off site.
    • Imports, supply their drivers with Hazardous Certificates.

🚚 Multi-Cargo (MC) Operations
Container/Bulk berths yard is at 75% capacity and expected to decrease to 60% by early next week.

PCC Car volume in the yard is currently at 75% capacity and expected to increase to 100% over the next week.

Most vessels currently on berths across MC wharfs are due to complete cargo work today and depart overnight. Over the next few days, we are expecting 7 vessels to arrive. We are not expecting any delay over this period as yard capacity is being well managed across all stakeholders. As always, keep safe if visiting operational areas.

⚠Safety Notice:
We are still seeing a number of trucks coming into the empty yard with their twist locks/chains still attached, please can you remind your drivers to disengage twist locks on trailers at the driver safety zone before entering the empty gate please.
