🚦 Overall Operational Status
Overall port operations are running well.
🏗 Container Terminal Update
Wild weather, short weeks and Block of Line over the past two weeks provided some challenges but we’re now in a much better rhythm again. Thank you for your patience as we worked to clear congestion. Weather continues to be a factor in berth schedule variability.
Keep an eye out for the newest member of our container terminal fleet, an electric empty container hoist. This is the first emissions-free hoist in the container terminal and supports our sustainability roadmap and emissions reduction goals.
eGate:
Reminder that eGate is available for all carriers to use in the empty yard for LINK or empty export drop offs. eGate is not yet available for an empty pick up. eGate training manuals can be found here. Contact Drivers Assist on 0800 767 800 or [email protected] for support with eGate or to get set up.
From the 5th of May we will start internal testing for eGate through the Fergusson Terminal which will see some changes to all of the lane kiosks.
🚚 Multi-Cargo (MC) Operations
Container/Breakbulk berths and yard are at 80% capacity, expected to remain so for the rest of the week.
Car volume in the yard is currently at 10% capacity and will increase to 100% over the weekend and early into next week.
⚠Safety Notice:
Empty Yard, drop offs:
We have recently seen an increase in trucks not remaining stationary when being unloaded in the empty yard, and trucks are driving off prior to the empty hoist being clear. This is a danger to both the truck driver and the empty hoist driver. A reminder that breaches and repeated infringements may result in driver suspension.
Fergusson Terminal
Please ensure that your twist locks have all been unlocked and chains have been removed from any container being lifted from your trucks to avoid any damages to trucks and straddles.
Please use the designated Safety Zones to perform these tasks and any other safety checks required.
