🚦 Overall Operational Status The majority of port wide operations are working well, we are experiencing some congestion due to high volumes in the Container Terminal. We ask for your continued support in clearing imports quickly which helps us with capacity. The container terminal is still operating without one of its three container berths whilst maintenance dredging is completed, this is due to be completed by end of this week. We are still operating without “I” crane but hoping to bring forward operational readiness by end of this year. Following KiwiRail’s Block of Line announcement last week, we are working through operational planning to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum to support importers and exporters during this period. It was great to see so many of you recently at our Customer Town Halls meetings. Your feedback has been very valuable. If you would like further information on these sessions, please let us know. 🏗 Container Terminal Update The Container Terminal is experiencing congestion due to very high yard utilisation (approx. 100%). This has been compounded by off window arriving vessels last week clashing now with on window arrivals this week. The current delay is 1-2 days and it’s expected to be resolved in the next 7-10 days. Truck turn times could be extended as we are having to dig for import containers due to high stack utilisation. We encourage customers to monitor our website for berthing times and cargo cut offs. 🚚 Multi-Cargo (MC) Operations Container/Breakbulk berths is expected to increase to 100% by the weekend. Car volumes in the yard are expected to increase to 90% by the weekend. ⚓ Marine Services Update Operating well ⚠Safety Reminder: We encourage all truck drivers to spray paint their twist-lock/pins with bright, reflective colours e.g yellow or orange. This simple step will improve visibility (particularly at night), enhances safety, and protects equipment from unnecessary wear and tear and damage. |
