We are monitoring weather forecasts and preparing for the arrival of a low-pressure system expected to arrive Wednesday night. Safety and protection of people and infrastructure are our priority.
With the heavy weather (high winds) expected, Port of Auckland has made the decision to:
- Take all reasonable precautions with vessels. The Marine Team will request some vessels move to sea.
- Stop Container Terminal Operations from 1900 hours Wednesday 16 April until 0700 hours Friday 18 April (Easter Friday)
- Stop Multi-Cargo stevedoring operations at or before 2200 Wednesday 16 April. Details of stevedoring restart to be advised. Multi-Cargo R&D will continue as planned.
Full Container Terminal operations are expected to resume at 0700 hours, Friday 18 April.
Demurrage and fees will be adjusted to reflect the operational changes as applicable.
We will continue to monitor the situation and will advise you if there are any further changes.
