For vessels arriving in Auckland that have to be piloted per IMO requirements, there are planned routes from the Pilot Boarding Area to the berth.

We have developed a set of standa​​rd routes from any arrival position in or adjacent to the Pilotage district to any berth/anchorage within the pilotage district. These have been signed off by the Auckland Harbour Master's office and are now considered to be the Routes that ALL piloted vessels will follow and be monitored against.

The full set of routes have been uploaded to the Ports of Auckland Web Site here in various formats, allowing for hardcopy download and various electronic  formats to be downloaded.
