Accessing the Port

We are committed to providing a safe environment for our people and external port users. To make sure we do this, anyone requiring regular access to the port are required to complete Accessing the Ports of Auckland safety and wellbeing induction before we can approve the issue of an access card or entry in Fergusson Container Terminal.

Health and safety is at the forefront of everything we do. The nature of operations at our port means that we're a high-risk workplace for injuries, so it's crucial that we inject healthy and safe processes into all aspects of our business. Read more on our initiatives in this area in our Annual Review

It's critical that port users understand and work in line with our health and safety and environmental guidelines. To facilitate this, regular port users, such as contractors, employees and transport operators can apply for entry to Fergusson Container Terminal and/or access cards to access other areas of the port unescorted, following the completion of our online port access learning.

If you are making a one-off visit or occasional visits to the port, please read more on security measures at the port.

You must ensure your company, or the company you are contracted to, has an account with the port. If not, they must register here first.
