On the 31st of July 2023, Port of Auckland introduced PortConnect's Cost Acceptance service allowing users to accept container costs such as Demurrage, Customs and MPI Charges via PortConnect.
This function went live on the 31st July with a 4 week transition period, the mandatory date being the 28th August 2023.
As of Monday the 28th August customers of the port will no longer be able to send emails for the acceptance of costs.
PortConnect has also recently introduced Cost Acceptance for the Port of Tauranga so some customers may be familiar with the process

Accepting container costs via PortConnect will require a login to the PortConnect website and an existing account with the Ports of Auckland.
