We wish to advise POAL operating hours over the Easter period. Please note, that given the current lockdown situation, the times specified below are subject to change upon operational demands and confirmation of vessel schedules.

It will certainly be a very different Easter period this year due to the COVID-19 lockdown period and we appreciate that the Transport Industry will be seeking some down time to recover from the busy integration into the ‘new business as usual’ operating environment that we are all trying to adopt.

We do however need every effort by the industry to maximise the collection of import containers from the Terminal during this long weekend period. We are operating 24/7 and have the capacity to deliver import containers from the Terminal on Good Friday 10^th April as well as Easter Monday 13^th April and throughout the weekend. We must keep the containers moving off Port, otherwise, we will congest and with a short week following before the arrival of more import volumes, our ability to clear any backlog will be severely restricted. There will be no additional resource to throw at the problem on Tuesday 14^th April so we must use any space capacity over this period to clear boxes off port.

We appreciate the efforts being made and trust that this gives adequate notice to put in place solutions.

Import demurrage:
Public Holidays are Import Demurrage free days as per our price schedule – 10 and 13 April 2020 will be demurrage free days.
Hazardous Storage allowable time remains the same. Please contact Customer Service if you have Dangerous Goods container queries.
