SCOUTS New Zealand

Ports of Auckland have teamed up with SCOUTS New Zealand to become their first maritime industry partner in support of Sea Scouting, to give more young people the chance to experience the joy of sailing.

We're a proud supporter of SCOUTS New Zealand. The sponsorship supports Sea Scouting with the aim of giving more young people the chance to experience the joy of sailing.

Since the sponsorship began in 2014, it has helped SCOUTS New Zealand to provide development support to 17 Sea Scout Groups, serving 161 volunteer Leaders and 859 Scouts, across Auckland and the surrounding region.

In 2015, we announced a three year partnership as part of an on-going commitment to support local sea scouting. The announcement of funding, following the gifting of a mini-van, will help to develop scouting in the Auckland region and aid in appointing a new Regional Development Officer.
