02 September 2011 Customer Advisory POAL R&D Hours September 9th Good Afternoon, On Friday the 9th September there will be significant road closures through central Auckland and along the waterfront, including on Quay St, due to the Rugby World Cup 2011 opening ceremony. Auckland Transport has asked that city workers either stay in town or get out of the CBD by 3.30pm, and that people either avoid driving near Quay St or make any essential trips or deliveries to the area early. After careful consideration POAL has therefore decided to close container R&D operations at both Fergusson and Bledisloe terminals. POAL Container Terminals R&D hours for Friday 9th and Sat 10th Sept are as follows:

September 9th – close at 15:00hrs Multi-Cargo Wharves will be open as per current arrangement with individual stevedores POAL will be releasing more VBS slots on Thursday night and Friday morning to offset the impact of the closure, and will be in touch with template holders to alter templates to suit.
